All about our Venue
Come Party and Play with Us
We run three time slots at Kids Era. Monday – Sunday 9-12 am or 2-5pm or full day 10am-4pm. During the three/six hour time slot you have exclusive use of our venue which includes full access to our facilities, a jumping castle, tables and chairs for both kids and adults, cutlery and crockery, an urn with tea/coffee/sugar/milk.
Our venue is wheelchair accessible and has a wheelchair friendly bathroom.
We have a full baby changing station in our bathroom.
Safe parking is provided inside the venue.

When you rent the venue
Venue Hire
The venue is exclusive use, so you do not share the space with others for the time you have booked.
We also ensure that the venue is cleaned and ready for set-up between parties.
We offer various services from only providing what is included in the venue hire and you do the set-up and decorations yourself, to a full theme decoration set-up with balloons. There is various packages to select from or you can add the services that fits your budget.
You can set up 1 hour before the start of your party, when guests arrive.
We have a range of items such as bowls, cake stands, etc. so please check with us on what you might require, as we just might have you covered.
What you need to bring
There are some things that we can arrange although it is costly and usually works out better if you arrange yourself:
- A Cake
- Food (some of our packages caters for the kids but not adults)
- Drinks (some of our packages caters for the kids but not adults)
- Braai utensils, spices and charcoal
- Ice
- Music (please note rules regarding music)
Please discuss any requests with us well in advance if you require our assistance with the above.
What is included in the venue hire
With only making use of the venue, you will get the following:
- Tables and chairs – Adults and kids
- Crockery and cutlery – Adults and kids (glasses, kids cups and coffee cups, plates, knives and forks.)
- Urn with tea, coffee, 1L milk and sugar
- Kitchenette with fridge and freezer (can fit ice-cream cake)
- Microwave oven
- Black tablecloths for outside tables for adults (2 only – other tablecloths and overlays are extra)
- Braai facilities (bring you own charcoal and utensils)
- Baths for drinks
- The full playground – as listed (exclusive use)
- Jumping castle included (slip and slide optional extra)
- Various stands and other decor options
Our Playground
We have a large outdoor playground with a variety of play activities to keep the kids busy for hours.
The playground activities consist of the following:
- Airplane
- Helicopter
- Doll house
- Sailing boat with cabin
- Big Jungle gym
- Trampoline
- Large sandpit
- Mini soccer field – including soccer goals and soccer ball
- Cycle track (including scooters, bikes etc.)
- Jumping castle
- Basketball hoop
- Climbing ropes

Rules
We like to ensure that our guests have a wonderful party at KIDS ERA – we do have some rules that needs to be adhered to, to ensure the smooth running of our facilities.
- Right of admission is reserved
- Kids Era gate to enter premises is in James Street.
- Gates will be opened 60min before party starts to allow for the host to set up.
- Times are strictly as follows: Morning Session 09h00 to 12h00, afternoon session 14h00 to 17h00, full day sessions 10h00 to 16h00.
- The venue must be vacated promptly at the end of the session to allow us to clean and prepare for the next party.
- As it is a private venue you are allowed to bring your own alcohol/drinks. Please use discretion as improper behaviour will not be tolerated.
- No pets or animals allowed without prior permission from the owner.
- No loud music allowed.
- No food or drinks allowed in the following areas airplane, helicopter, sand pit, trampoline, Wendy-house, and speed boat as this attracts ants and is unhygienic. Food is restricted to the venue.
- No shoes on trampoline or jumping castle. NO Adults on trampoline or jumping castle.
- Zip line must be supervised by an adult; under 12 years old only, Max 35kg, NO Adults on zip line
- Should it rain, the jumping castles will be switched off for safety reasons.
- Should there be lightning or rain the airplane and helicopter will be closed for safety reasons.
- Jumping castle will run only during session times.
- When putting up decorations please remove all press-stick, sticky tape or strings used.
- No smoking in the covered venue area or near children. (Please use bins provided for cigarette butts)
- No sand is to be removed from the sandpit.
